When a storm tears through West Hills and shingles start peeling off the roofline, you need a crew that picks up the phone and shows up — not a call center that puts you on hold.
Long before Roof Repair Smedway had a website, our lead foremen were already climbing ladders across West Hills, NY, learning which underlayment holds up against humidity and which fastener pattern actually survives a coastal gust line.
We carry full liability coverage and workers' compensation, and every lead installer holds current state licensing, so a claim adjuster, a home inspector, or your own insurance carrier can verify our credentials without a single awkward phone call.
We've seen what happens when a roof gets "good enough" instead of done right — the drywall stains, the mold behind the insulation, the second call nobody wanted to make. Our Commercial Roofing teams build to avoid that call entirely.
Bonded, insured, and ready to show proof on the spot.
A tarp-down call at 2 a.m. gets the same urgency as one at 2 p.m.
Every estimate is itemized in writing so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Technicians dispatched from within West Hills, NY, not flown in from another region.
By the time water is visibly dripping into a room, the damage underneath the surface has usually been developing for a while.
Asphalt shingles shed protective granules as they age, and a gutter full of grit usually means the surface layer is wearing thin.
Cupped shingles trap moisture underneath instead of shedding it, accelerating rot in the decking below.
Climb into the attic on a sunny day — if you see pinpricks of daylight, water can get through the same gaps.
A yellow-brown ring spreading across a ceiling almost always traces back to a roof leak, even if the leak point is several feet away from the stain.
If upstairs rooms feel noticeably warmer than the rest of the house, a failing roof system is a common hidden cause.
Missing shingles expose the underlayment, which is only designed as a temporary secondary barrier, not a long-term surface.
Whether it's a single emergency tarp or a full system replacement, each service below is handled by technicians who specialize in that exact scope of work.
Emergency dispatch covers downed limbs through the roof deck, storm-torn flashing, and wind-lifted shingle sections that need immediate coverage.
From a handful of cracked shingles to a full asphalt or metal system replacement, our residential crews scope the job against manufacturer specs, not guesswork.
Flat and low-slope commercial roofs get scheduled inspections in addition to repair calls, catching ponding-water issues before they become structural.
A full tear-off strips the roof down to the decking, replaces damaged boards, and installs a new underlayment and shingle system built to current code.
Post-storm inspections give homeowners a documented record for insurance purposes, whether or not a claim is ultimately filed.
If a roof has an unusual pitch, an older material system, or a custom architectural feature, our senior crews handle the scoping personally.
A dispatcher takes down your address, roof type, and the issue, then routes it to the nearest available crew in West Hills, NY.
The inspection covers decking condition, flashing points, and ventilation, not just the obvious problem area.
You receive an itemized, written estimate before any work begins, covering materials, labor, and disposal.
Warranty documentation is provided on completion for both materials and labor.
Response windows are communicated upfront, not left as a vague "sometime this week."
Flat-rate pricing means the quote you approve is the quote you pay, barring a scope change we'll flag with you first.
Crews carry moisture meters, infrared scanners for larger jobs, and proper fall-protection gear on every site.
We'd rather send a crew back for a five-minute fix than leave a customer unsure whether the job was done correctly.
We've worked with enough adjusters across West Hills, NY to know what documentation actually gets a claim approved faster.
Our technicians explain the reasoning behind every recommendation so you're deciding with full information, not a sales script.
A verbal promise doesn't hold up when you need it — that's why our guarantee is documented, dated, and handed to you at project close.
If a crew leader finds something during teardown that changes the scope, you'll hear about it before it changes your bill, not after.
Our West Hills coverage area extends across West Hills, NY, and if your address falls just outside the standard zone, dispatch can usually still arrange a visit.
If a storm system moves through West Hills, NY and call volume spikes, we prioritize active leaks first and communicate realistic wait times for everything else rather than leaving people guessing.
